BlackBerry 9790 is the latest addition in BlackBerry family, launched in Jan' 2012. It combines an iconic design with light weight and touch capabilities. The design is very compact and light weight. It is a powerful phone that can be used for professional and personal use.
The high-res touch screen complements the iconic QWERTY keyboard. The QWERTY keyboard makes typing emails, using BlackBerry Messenger and social networking updates much easier and quicker, and the fluid touch screen provides a truly responsive, refined touch experience so you can enjoy the web, media or photos with a swift swipe, zoom, pinch or pan.
My Experience with the phone:
- OS 7 makes the phone processing faster
- NFC (Near Field Communication) technology to connect with other NFC-enabled devices and smart tags with a single tap.
- Battery is good. It can last for one and half days, on standard use.
- Voice Dialing feature is the best application in the mobile.
- Voice enabled global search is another compelling feature.
- Touch screen is quite responsive. The fluid touch screen makes the experience even better.
- Optical Track pad is great.
- QWERTY keyboard is new and have a better response.
- The design is quite compact and light weight (117g).
- Performance wise this phone is comparable to BlackBerry Bold 9900 / 9930.
- Camera quality is good. But not as good as Sony Ericsson phones.
- Still lacks quality in-built stuff (Ring tones, wallpapers, notification tones etc)
- Comes with few apps such as (Documents to go, Compass, Wikitude)
Main Disadvantages are:
- Super Stiff Unlock Button
- In order to surf internet, one has to buy BlackBerry services.
- No Front Camera
- No HD video recording
- Small screen (Not value for money)
- No FM Radio

- App World do not offer good apps for free (As compared to Android)
